Digital Me Project

Image
I really enjoyed the digital me project. I had to do my project using Tellagami which I enjoyed using because it was easy to use and I was able to download the app right to my phone. A lot of the options to create your character, add a background was locked so I could only chose what was free and unlocked. This free version only lets you record a 30 second message as well.  This is my gami :) I thought it was helpful to learn how everyones digital tool can be used in the classroom and how students can use these tools for projects etc.. I have used some of the tools before like Pinterest and Word art.  All the other tools I learned about during the presentations. I cant wait to hopefully make use of these tools in my future classroom.

Ed 2520

I was told that the Science Methods class was tough but well worth it. I am excited to be apart of the class this semester. I will say that after the first day of class, this is probably going to be my toughest class this semester. I am at ease to know that Dr. Smirnova will always be available to help any way that she can even if it is through a FaceTime call or a late night email. I'm looking forward to getting to know my classmates better and to start fieldwork with the class! I'm excited to learn new ways on how to teach science and how to make it fun for students to learn.

Back to School

My first day back to school was a new adventure. This semester was different from last semester. Last semester I took classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This semester I am taking classes only on Tuesday and Thursday. I am in three Method classes which is going to be tough for me so I have to stay very organized and on top of my work. I was glad to see most of the same faces in my classes this semester as last year. There is at least one or two people in each of my classes this semester that I have had class with before. That is one thing I enjoy, having class with people that I know because being in the education field I have had the opportunity to form friendships with the other students in the field and work with them, either in class or outside of school. Sometimes I think I work better on certain assignments when I work with someone else. I cant wait to see what this semester brings, and to experience all the field work that I will be doing within my classes! Alisha
